Ever wonder why our mothers would always make us chicken noodle soup when we were sick as children?

Because of the healing properties! All people can benefit from the nutritional benefits of drinking bone broth year round!

1–2 cups every other day can strengthen the immune system and enhance general health and beauty.

Bone broth is a rich and nourishing brew that is created from simmering meaty bones and connective tissue in water for several hours.

You can speed up the process by using a pressure cooker if desired.

Some suggestions:

  1. Make sure to use bones with lots of collagen (like bison, beef knuckle bones, oxtail)
  2. Although not mandatory, roasting the bones before adding water can add flavor and help the nutrients in the bones to break down more quickly. I roast my bones around 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
  3. Add in a splash of vinegar, lemon juice, orange juice, or even wine to aid in bone breakdown. This will help your body absorb more of the nutrients that you’re after.

If you decide to swap your morning coffee for bone broth (or add it in — no need to necessarily give up the cup of joe), your skin will glow, your immune system will be strengthened, your digestive system will be at its peak, and your energy levels and overall vitality will be higher than before.
